Privacy Policy

We ask for as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and never sell it or rent it to anyone. Some information does have to travel to run a shop, though, and this page is honest about where it goes.

• We gather what it takes to deliver your scarf, take payment and answer your emails.
• Your information is never sold, rented or traded.
• It is shared only with the service providers the shop depends on: Shopify, our payment processors, delivery carriers and Meta (for the pixel described below).
• You may ask to see, correct or delete your information whenever you like.

BLF TECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED runs Linnetgrove and decides how personal information collected through the shop is used. Contact details sit in the masthead below.

03Information we gather

You give it to us

• At checkout: your name, email, shipping and billing addresses, and (if you enter it) a phone number the carrier can use for delivery updates.
• When you write to us: your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
• If you join our letters: your email address, and nothing more.

It is gathered automatically

Like nearly every online shop, ours records some technical details when you visit: your device and browser type, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, the pages you look at and how you arrived. Cookies and similar technologies make this possible.

Card details

Your full card number is handled by our payment processors and is not stored by Linnetgrove. We see only limited details, such as the card type and the last four digits.

04How the information is used

• Filling and delivering your order, and sending confirmations and tracking.
• Answering your questions and processing returns.
• Guarding against fraud and keeping the shop secure.
• Understanding which pages and designs people enjoy so we can improve the shop.
• Sending our letters, only if you have signed up, and showing relevant ads, only as permitted by your cookie choices.
• Meeting our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

06Cookies, the pixel and your controls

Some cookies are strictly necessary: without them the bag and checkout would not work. Others, including the Meta pixel, help with analytics and advertising, and you can turn those off. See Your Privacy Choices for the ways to do so. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal from browsers that send it.

07How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually several years. Customer emails are kept while they are useful for helping you. If you unsubscribe from our letters, your address comes off the list straight away.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under US state privacy laws such as California's, you may ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for targeted advertising. Email info@linnetgrove.com and we will reply within the time the law allows, usually well under a month. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

09Security

Our shop runs on Shopify's secure platform, and every page is served over HTTPS encryption. No system is flawless, but we limit who can reach customer information and keep that circle small.

10Children

The shop is designed for adults. We do not knowingly gather information from children under 16, and we will delete it if we learn we have.

11International transfers

Our providers may store or process information outside your country, including in the United States and Canada. Where the law asks for it, suitable safeguards cover those transfers.
